Cox Hardware Special Order Guidelines
Since starting our store in 1946 we have ordered many unusual and unique items for our customers. We can and will special order almost anything! We have access to many, many products that we don't carry in inventory, but are readily and easily available. Please call us if you can't find something, or just want a quote to keep another supplier honest.
These procedures have been developed and refined over time and are intended to help us find exactly the product you want with minimal errors, misunderstandings or confusion.
Our guidelines:
1. Any licenses, delivery charges or special fees related to a special order must be paid for at time of order.
2. A non-refundable minimum deposit of 20% is required at time of order. The remaining amount for the merchandise will be due upon your acceptance of the product.
3. Returns of special order merchandise for reasons other than defects are not guaranteed. Returns of special order merchandise may incur a return charge, or may not be accepted at all. A lot of that depends on the manufacturer we ordered the product from, and their decisions.
4. Please plan for adequate lead-time for arrival from the shipping source when placing your special order. We can and do expedite orders, but manufacturer supply times are completely beyond our control. We assume no liability for late delivery, partial shipments or orders otherwise not delivered within the requested time frame.
